For the actual injections, we'll start by administering a numbing cream as a local anesthetic to ease the discomfort of the injection. Dr. Payne will determine how much is necessary and will gradually and evenly inject it through a very fine needle. This procedure takes only a few minutes at our New Orleans, LA practice, and thanks to the anesthetic, you should feel little to no sensation from the needle. You may experience some swelling or bruising initially, but these symptoms should fade quickly. Typical results can last from three months to a year, based on the product and the placement of the injection(s). What to Expect
Once your dermal filler treatment is finished, you may resume normal activities. The treated areas may be initially swollen and red, but this typically resolves over 1-3 days.
