Skin Cancer Screening & Dermatologic Surgery

Changes in a mole or growth can be concerning, and early evaluation is an important part of maintaining healthy skin. Flourish Dermatology & Aesthetics provides focused skin examinations and evaluation of new, changing, or symptomatic lesions to determine whether additional testing or treatment is necessary.

When appropriate, a skin biopsy may be performed to establish a diagnosis. We also offer in-office surgical procedures for select benign, precancerous, and cancerous skin lesions. Every procedure is approached with attention to both complete treatment and the appearance of the skin after healing.

Although skin cancer occurs less frequently in individuals with darker skin tones, it can affect all skin types and may be diagnosed later in patients with skin of color. We believe education and appropriate evaluation are important for everyone, particularly when a lesion is changing, bleeding, painful, non-healing, or simply looks different from the rest.
